About Jayden

Jayden Reeanna Parkinson Born 26-09-1996 Daughter to Samantha Shrewsbury & Paul Parkinson. Youngest of 3, Has 2 other siblings from her father. Born in Ashford, Kent she went to George Spurgen primary school Folkestone. We moved to Nuneham Courtney in 2003 and moved into my father's post office. Where she then went to Marsh Baldons primary school I left her father after 13 hours of abuse on Easter Sunday in the early hours of the morning leaving my 3 children in the house with their eldest brother from their father... 2005 It took a two-year custody battle with her father for the youngest two children in which he was given custody as I wasn’t allowed to talk about the domestic abuse and violence I’d been subjected to at the hands of the man they were awarded too! He then went on to abuse me by using my children as weapons to make me obey his wishes as to and when I was allowed to see them... Eventually, her older brother came to live with me on his 18th birthday but Jayden came to me just after her 13th birthday by what is called voting with her feet! She made her way to my home from Lancashire to Oxfordshire. I'd had her in my care for two weeks before her father knew she had left that’s how interested he was in his children… She tested my parenting to the maximum and my staying power in being her mum! She was suspended from school 26 times in one term.. it got so bad I thought I was going to lose her forever I had to participate in parenting classes.. It got so bad I actually gave up and told her school to keep her I just couldn’t cope with her, she was running away drinking and uncontrollable and she went on what was called an Oncourse where she was picked up every day taken to a center for children who misbehaved in school and she came out the other side and passed the course she was 15 then... I still had to take her to school to make sure she went which slowly stopped as her bullies from school became her friends ( that’s a whole other story) Then that’s when she met Jake Blakeley who was a month older than her and he went to the boy's school and was her friend's boyfriend, they’d all hang out at each other’s houses but mine mostly.. They were all good friends But then Ben turns up and for some reason, Jayden likes him and tells him so and he says he won’t go out with her until she’s 16 which he waits and then does strike up a relationship with her just after her 16th Christmas of 2012 We were all in France that Christmas when I realised she was in a relationship with him because she was upset he’d slept with her best friend and from that moment on it was hell!! She was stealing from me and my then partner, we were fighting because she was running away again and stealing lying to everyone. She was already under his control within months he had total control.. she changed her dress sense had gone from makeup hair dresses to scruffy buns baggy tops and trousers she was backward and forwards from him to me to her sister. They were stealing suitcases from trains from Reading to Didcot and Oxford City and then back. In the beginning, he was charming, butter wouldn’t melt, but he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He was beating her, burning her, and biting her daily. I only found out because of a good friend whose mother had passed away we were all going to the funeral and my daughter was good friends with her daughter who had seen the burns and bruises and had a conversation with Ben about her lying to him about where she was as he didn’t believe her! She was still going between people including a teacher from school even though she was no longer in school. The teacher would liaise alongside me with her sister, police, and social services. It became so bad that I’d given up on her in the summer of 2013 and I was visiting my father’s house in France when I got my first truth out of Jayden she finally admitted he was hurting her and she’d gone to social services to get help and they gave her money for a ticket to her sisters in which she never used! In that time Ben had made her take him to her sisters so he knew where she lived.. he didn’t stay long as her brother-in-law chased him to the train station and in his way bk Jayden had run back to Ben I didn’t really see her till just before Halloween when we were contacted by his female cousin who had had enough and told us Ben had gone out and to come and get her! So we rescued her from Reading and basically kept her locked in and took her phone from her because I was that scared he’d get into her head again and I was right She went back to him after I overheard her talking to him on a mobile phone and gave her the ultimatum us and give up the phone and we were keeping her safe or him and she walked out.. In all of this, I was led to believe he was telling her he was going to hurt me for interfering and I made a physical complaint to my then-housing officer and a care worker and I admitted I knew he’d killed my cat but I couldn’t prove it! I didn’t see her again until the 3rd Dec alongside her uncle Met her in one foot forward and we decided to walk to a pub around the corner where we talked about her options 1 adoption 2 abortion 3 keep it She decided already option 3 keep it, she was due to go to the doctors the following day to get it confirmed by them as she’d done five tests that weekend. I bought her a Coke had a coffee myself and pointed out that Ben Blakeley was no Jack Dawson was he and that she’d have to have nothing more to do with him because the baby would be on the at-risk list..! I took her back to one foot forward and begged her to come home with me but she declined because as she put it “didn’t want to bring no more drama to my door... Little did I know that that was to be our last embrace together.

The above information was kindly typed out by Jayden's mother Samantha Shrewsbury, who is still fighting today for change to our justice system.

16 days later, this info was released.
Police say a body found in a disturbed grave is believed to be missing teenager Jayden Parkinson.
A Thames Valley Police statement said the body was found "in a recently disturbed grave" in the cemetery of All Saints Church, Didcot. Unfortunately, the body was identified as Jayden's 16 days after she went missing.

Murder Charge

The 17-year-old disappeared on 3 December 2013 having last been seen leaving the town's railway station at about 16:30 GMT.

Jayden's ex-boyfriend Ben Blakeley, 22, of Christchurch Road, Reading, has been charged with her murder and with perverting the course of justice.

Police said there have been suggestions Jayden may have been pregnant, but they have been unable to confirm this.

A 17-year-old boy (Jake Blakeley), from Didcot, who has been charged with perverting the course of justice, has also appeared in court and is due back on 17 March 2014.

He is accused of assisting in the disposal of Jayden's body and other evidence.

More than 100 officers and detectives are working on the case, backed up by specialists from the National Crime Agency.

As well as the graveyard at All Saints' Church, a semi-detached house in Great Western Drive was also searched in the hunt for Jayden.

The house was just a few hundred yards away from the cemetery,

A cordon was also put up in a park which links Great Western Drive to an alleyway running behind the cemetery.

Forensic officers have been examining both areas.
